Meet the Director

Noraleen Pahinui, ADC Director

Nora’s passion in caring for others stemmed from her childhood years in Hawai’i. She grew up surrounded by four generations of family members who continue to work as Direct Support Professionals and Foster/Care Home Operators. Her family has a legacy of providing services for clients of all ages and abilities, including those with intellectual/developmental needs and our frail and aging kupuna. This depth of experience planted the seeds that drove her to carry on this family tradition and elevate others with positive support and promoting a better Quality of Life.

Additionally, she has co-operated an Adult Foster Care Home for 19 years. She has also served as a Direct Support Worker for Easters Seals Hawaii. During her tenure at Seagull Schools’ Adult Day Center, she has worked as a Supervisor, a Program Assistant, and eventually became the Center’s Assistant Director.

Nora has enjoyed working at Seagull Schools for 16 years. The experience has helped cultivate and hone her skills with our Aging population. In her current role as Director of the Adult Day Center, her desire is to work with our kupuna by promoting a healthy lifestyle, encouraging them to stay active, continue their socialization with others in their community….and above all, to laugh and have fun.
