Seagull's curriculum is built on two foundations: the Hawaiʻi Preschool Content Standards and the guidelines of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Together, they shape a play-based program designed to spark curiosity and cultivate a love for learning, not drill kindergarten readiness into children before they're ready.
Every day, children explore through books, art, science experiments, music, movement, and outdoor play. They learn numbers, shapes, and early reading through stories drawn from their own lives. They ask questions (what, why, how) and learn through the process of discovery. Creative expression, physical coordination, and a strong sense of self develop naturally in an environment where children feel safe, capable, and encouraged to try new things.
