About This Campus

Seagull’s Kailua campus is where it all started. Operating on the Windward side since the early 1970s, this is Seagull’s most intimate campus with 74 seats, serving children ages 2 through 5. Located on Kailua Road in the heart of Kailua town, the campus offers a close-knit community feel with small class sizes and strong relationships between families, teachers, and the neighborhood around them.

7:00am: School opens; activities set up in classrooms
7:30am: Light breakfast
8:25am: Breakfast cleanup
8:30am: Outdoor play
9:30am: Morning meetings, singing, review calendar, colors, shapes, and overview of the day
9:45am: Cognitive and learning center activities
11:00am: Outdoor paly, large muscle activities
11:30am: Lunch
12:30pm: Clean up
12:15pm: Rest time, independent reading, bathroom
12:30pm: Story time
1:00pm: Rest time
2:30pm: Wake up, put blankets away, bathroom, snack time

Meet the Director

Elizabeth 'Lei' Ramirez

Elizabeth has been a cherished member of Seagull Schools Kailua since 2013. Her journey began as an on-call substitute in the Honu classroom before growing into the roles of Assistant Teacher and Lead Teacher in the Pololia (4-year-old) classroom. She holds an Associate of Science in Early Childhood Education from Honolulu Community College and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from the University of Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu.

With a genuine passion for early childhood education, Elizabeth finds the greatest joy in watching each keiki grow in confidence, discover a love of learning, and flourish throughout the school year.
